Yesterday Drake chopped it up with Angie Martinez on Hot97, and took the opportunity to say he's a "bitter customer" about not receiving the five YOLO Polo shirts he ordered, items that poked fun at the now infamous Drake x Dada meme. He went on to very jokingly and sarcastically say:

"Yo, to the guy that sells the YOLO Polos, I bought five YOLO Polos and you never sent them to my house. If I ever see you, I'm gonna have to put them hands on you. I'm wearing a Cartier ring, it is gonna hurt when you see me."

We reached out to the designers of the YOLO Polo shirts to see what happened to Drake's order, and whether or not they had a response to the rapper's words. They cleared up the confusion, and even provided screengrabs of the transaction.

Speaking on behalf of him and his partner Tony Cerniglia, YOLO Polo designer Joseph Evans explains what happened to those missing shirts:

"The original buyer of the five polos was Drake's good friend Ryan Silverstein. When we saw he had placed an order with us we were ecstatic and got the polos out for delivery within that same day. I watched and tracked the package down like a hawk because I wanted to make sure it got to the guys quickly and without any problems. Days turned to weeks and I heard nothing from Ryan or about the package. So I'm just stuck sending emails and trying to hit him up on Twitter and Instagram because I knew how important this opportunity would be for the brand."

At that point, the designer took it to the next level of customer service:

"Finally I hit up the post office and they tell me the address that Ryan had given me was an invalid address (I'm sure there's a reason). I again emailed Ryan explaining the situation and trying to come up with a solution or at least get an accurate address to re-send the polos over to. Unfortunately communication between us has been unsuccessful. I was surprised he never hit me up wondering where his package was. I would still love to get the polos over to them, maybe even personally deliver them. I'm honored Drake mentioned them in his interview and hope there's no ill feelings over the miscommunication!"
Turns out, when you put out a record that turns the world on its head, nothing really is the same, including the level of customer service a brand will dole out to make sure you get what you order. But even if Drake doesn't receive his original order, there are more meme-tastic shirts heading his way.
"Be on the lookout for more hilarious memes to hit your closet. Tell Drake we want him to have one of each."
