Ronda Rousey is back! During the UFC 205 weigh-in in New York City on Friday, Rousey returned for a brief staredown with her next opponent, current UFC women's bantamweight champion Amanda Nunes, before storming off the stage. Without saying a single word—and rocking her trademark scowl and displaying her usual pre-fight intensity—Rousey looked mentally prepared to take on Nunes next month.

Almost exactly one year ago, Rousey suffered her first UFC loss to Holly Holm and subsequently went into hiding. One month after the knockout seen 'round the world, Ronda spoke about her defeat in ESPN The Magazine and revealed the damage she sustained at the hands of Holm. “It might be three to six months before I can eat an apple,” Ronda said. “Let alone take an impact.” After two months out of the spotlight, Ronda hosted Saturday Night Live and congratulated Holm on her victory.

Eventually, people started to speculate about when Rousey would step back into the Octagon. In October, UFC president Dana Whitedeclared she would be fighting at UFC 207 on December 30 in Las Vegas. Earlier this month, Rousey admitted to Ellen that this upcoming fight would be one of her last. "Not that long, I'm wrapping it up. This is definitely one of my last fights," Rousey said. "The show isn't going to be around forever."

With Rousey's MMA career coming to an end, it's important that she walks away from the sport on top. That starts with a win over Nunes.
