Back in February, Drake spent some time over in London for a performance at the Brit Awards. And he didn’t make the trip alone. In addition to bringing his usual crew with him—and meeting up with Rihanna—he also asked Odell Beckham Jr. to accompany him overseas. Beckham Jr. talked about the experience during a recent interview with DraftKings.
“We took a trip to London,” he said. “Before I took the trip, I was already like, ‘I want to get away from the world. I just want to go somewhere.’ And next thing you know, it was maybe the next day, [Drake] called me like, ‘Yo, man, I’m going to London. Come with me.’ I was like, ‘Bet. Where you need me to be?’ I went out to London.”

And he told DraftKings that it was a great getaway for him. He’s used to everyone looking at him when he goes out, so he said that it was an eye-opening experience to see how much attention Drake commands on a regular basis.
“I’m usually the one who has people with him and they’re following me and it’s like, ‘This is my crew and my people. I got to take care of them. I’m responsible for them,’” he said. “So to be able to sit back and take the back seat, it was just real humbling for me to be somebody who, now, I’m looking around and I’m watching out for what’s going on. Instead of being the one that everybody is looking at, they’re looking at him. I love seeing somebody shine.”
During the interview, Beckham Jr. also reiterated that his friendship with Drake isn’t just for show. The two have been roommates for the last few months—and Beckham Jr. has obviously had a lot of fun living in Drake's house—but according to Beckham Jr., it's deeper than that.
“I think we’ll be friends for this lifetime, next lifetime,” he said. “That’s my guy.”
