Ronaldo's career in elite level competition isn't over just yet.

The former Brazil and Real Madrid legend – who famously steered his country to glory in the 2002 World Cup – has followed in the footsteps of Rafa Nadal and Boris Becker to be one of the poster boys for PokerStars. The only difference with R9 is that he can actually play.

1.

Ronaldo has already bagged $24,000 from PokerStars' Caribbean tournament.

2.

The 38-year-old is currently in 18th place in the 57 man tournament, ahead of the likes of Jason Mercier, former world champion Jonathan Duhamel and a former European tour player of the year Ole Schemion.

If he goes all the way Ronaldo would pocket $1.4 million.
