About a month ago, Drake made headlines in the sneaker community when he sat courtside at a Los Angeles Clippers game wearing a very coveted pair of sneakers, the Air Jordan V Retro "Tokyo 23."
According to prices posted on Flight Club, the Tokyo Vs have a market price of roughly $5,000. Well, Drake went even bigger last night as he watched his Toronto Raptors take on Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors in a pair of the Eminem x Carhartt x Air Jordan IV Retro, the sneaker that generated roughly $20,000 per pair when a handful of sizes were auctioned off for charity on eBay.
Despite the Raptors valiant efforts, Drake's hometown squad fell short against Curry and company falling in overtime, 112-109. But Drake continues to stay winning and last night is further evidence to justify his stature as one of the 25 Most Influential People in Sneakers this year where he sits one spot above Curry.
