Warner Bros. Are Apparently Trying to Make a King Kong vs Godzilla Film

The more giant monsters, the better.

Everything can be improved with giant monsters. And giant monsters fighting each other is even better. Last year’s Godzilla reboot was pretty dope, even if they did totally underuse Bryan Cranston, and obviously there’s a sequel coming. But could he be squaring off against King Kong in part two? (Godzilla, that is, not Bryan Cranston).

There is another King Kong movie in pre-production—a prequel called Kong: Skull Island. That film was going to be distributed by Universal, but Deadline are now reporting that producers Legendary Pictures are moving it over to Warner Bros.—who released the new American Godzilla. Deadline are speculating that this is so they can have a big shared monster universe, and basically let King Kong and Godzilla have a smackdown free of legal wranglings.
