Late last month, Smokepurpp teased the video to “Sauce Like This,” a highly infectious cut which will be featured on Deadstar 2. The response to the teaser was positive, as fans eagerly anticipate his upcoming release.

Today, the Cactus Jack and Alamo Records artist returns with the full video. Sporting his new haircut (he cut his signature locs late last month), the trippy visual finds the rapper and his crew as they take over an NYC bodega and street corner while Lil Purpp presents his energetic, animated lyricism over a track produced by Adrian Lau.

"We did the song in the studio and we had to shoot a video ASAP for it. So we ran around NYC and shot some crazy visuals for it," Smokepurpp told Complex. "Shoutout the homie Orlando, aka NO CRDNTLS."

He added: "I think I found my sound on Deadstar 2. I made something that I think my fans are gonna love. The whole project slaps."

Smokepurpp’s rebellious nature is encapsulated in lines like, “18 years old, gave myself early dismissal/19 years old, bought my Rollie, presidential." While he has a desire for luxurious items and expensive living, he does not take his current favorable situation for granted, as he often reflects on the times when was scraping to get by as early as a few years ago.

Smokepurpp, who is widely known as one of the faces of SoundCloud rap, is currently wrapping up his Unusual Suspects Tour alongside Gucci Mane, Hoodrich Pablo Juan, and Asian Doll. He also linked up with his Cactus Jack boss as a featured performer for Travis Scott's ASTROWORLD Festival. In addition, he is slated to make appearances at two upcoming Rolling Loud festivals (Los Angeles and Australia). More information can be found here.
