Offset Posts Video Claiming Stolen Chain Story Was 'Fake News'

While it seemed Offset had his $150,000 chain stolen last week, he just posted a video wearing the piece and denouncing the story as "fake news."

Last week, reports arrived of a $150,000 chain belonging to Offset being stolen from a Manhattan hotel room while he and fiancé Cardi B were in town for the Met Gala. Now he's posted a video wearing his YRN Offset chain, denouncing the story as “fake news.” The chain TMZ reported as stolen wasn't the same one.

“Still got my shit, come on, man,” he said in the video. “Y’all n***as know better than that. Come on." Rich the Kid then joined in, standing nearby and repeating Offset’s “fake news” chant.

The original story said sometime Tuesday evening the necklace was stolen off a coffee table in Cardi and Offset's hotel room. We now know that the chain is securely on Offset's person.

In terms of Migos members and chain drama, Quavo had an incident of his own earlier this year, when he was accused of attacking a jeweler and stealing a $30,000 chain at a Grammys afterparty. Ultimately, it seems both of these events—which seem to have significant inaccuracies in their initial reports—have been wrapped up without further issue.
