Diplo released the official music video for "Color Blind" off of his recently released California EP, which features the 21-year-old rap star Lil Xan. Diplo and Xan performed the song for the first time in Vegas last week, and now, fans can watch the moody, electro-trap song come to life in the accompanying visuals.

Home movie-style footage spliced with red-hued shots of Xan looking particularly chilled out at a party come together in this Austin Peters' directed video. Peters is a long-time collaborator for Diplo, having produced the Major Lazer documentary and the video for the group's collaboration with Tory Lanez

me and @lilxanfuhyobih cooked this up..probably the most unique sound from the EP but a perfect match of styles to make something brand new

In a comment left under the song's official video on YouTube, Diplo wrote, "me and lil xan cooked this up..probably the most unique sound from the EP but a perfect match of styles to make something brand new." He's right in that it's quite different from the typical, high-energy, dancehall, trap and electronic tunes we're used to hearing from the Major Lazer producer, but it's a welcomed addition to the more experimental nature of California, which features collaborations with Santigold, , Goldlink, and Lil Yachty, among others.

California marks Diplo's first solo album in five years, and on it he rounded up some new and old friends for an inventive project that draws on influences from his own repertoire and that of his collaborators.
