Kanye West looks to be using his down time away from the spotlight to catch up with his pops. This past Tuesday, Mr. West and his old man, Ray West, were spotted taking a tour of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington D.C.
A video clip of West attentively checking out what seems to be an exhibit centered around music (obviously) was posted to Instagram by a fellow visitor to the museum. Although Kanye was clearly very interested in what the tour guide had to say, everyone else was likely distracted because Kanye freakin' West was in the same museum tour that they were in.
Aside from the fairly short clip, there is not much more context but with Yeezus keeping a significantly lower profile than he has in the past it is always good to catch a glimpse of him when he decides to make a rare appearance. The same user who posted the original video clip of West also seemed to grab a picture indicating his father was not the only one with him at the museum. He was also accompanied by his daughter North.
Also worth noting about the visit, Ye was rocking what looks to be a grey and white pair of the Adidas Yeezy 700 Wave Runner that is rumored to be dropping some time this year. They can be seen in the video below.
Hopefully, Kanye believes in the "New Year, New Me" approach for 2018 when it comes to his music. Aside from a few features here and there, he has been pretty quiet since 2016's The Life of Pablo project. However, he has allegedly been cooking up a new album during his time away and a verified G.O.O.D. Music account recently popped up on Soundcloud sparking rumors of an imminent "Cruel Winter" release. Ideally, the wait will not be much longer before he blesses our ears once again.
