Rumors that Young Thug and producer TM88 would be dropping a collaborative project have been floating around on the internet since 2016. A project has finally been confirmed, but it might not be what you were expecting.

"There’s no Jeffery 88 but there a Slime x Sizzle x 88 project that’s completed," the producer wrote on Twitter Friday, responding to a fan asking about the completion date of Jeffery 88. As an added bonus, TM88’s fellow 808 Mafia member and frequent collaborator Southside will bless the project as well.

Complex first reported on the rumored tape in 2016, when photographer Walter Brady posted an image of the producer hard at work in the studio. "Posted, about to shoot TM & thugs EP cover. 3 in the morning type shit. Slight work," Brady said in the now-deleted post. He then thanked Juicy J for allowing the collaborators to use the studio. "Juicy J a real one," the photographer wrote on Instagram, "TM88 x Young Thug X Walter W. Brady EP cover coming soon though." It looks as though the photographer may have gotten ahead of himself. Young Thug is going to be a busy guy in 2018.

A Travis Barker and Young Thugger collaboration was also announced just this week, with both artists hinting at something in the works. TM88 is no slouch either, having produced Lil Uzi Vert’s XO Tour Lif3. "Everybody else says it makes them feel like their friends are dead, but I know the concept. At first, I was like, this nigga crazy." TM88 told Genius in July about the monster hit. "But then, they were like, nah, bro, I think he's talking about dead presidents."
