50 Cent Thinks Fetty Wap Got Snubbed by the Grammys for Best New Artist

"They did the same thing to me."

When the 58th annual GRAMMY Awards nominations were announced earlier this week it seemed like many of the selections were on point with some of the year's long list of crowd favorites. But as ever, complaints over nomination snubs popped up immediately. And while there's definitely a bit of rote complaining going on every year, there's always plenty of merit to the griping too. The most obvious this year? Fetty Wap definitely deserved a nom for Best New Artist, and 50 Cent feels his pain.

50 took to Instagram earlier today to weigh in, writing, "There [sic] over looking him, they did the same thing to me." As MTV points out, Curtis actually was nominated for Best New Artist himself in 2004 (and lost) but has only one gold statue to his name via a 2009 win alongside Eminem and Dr. Dre. Thankfully Fetty is up for two awards in the Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song categories courtesy of his "Trap Queen" hit.
