We can't tell what's more incredible. The fact that Madlib announced an impromptu performance last night at the Dance Tunnel in London, which caused a massive line of fans to build up outside of the venue hours beforehand in hopes of gaining entrance. Or that his mere presence brought out Yasiin Bey (aka Mos Def) and DOOM from their shells of solitary.

The event itself looked to be chaotic, in a positive sense. Paul White, Mr Beatnick, Benji B and Egon opened the show before Madlib took over the turntables. During his set Mos Def kicked a freestyle (below) to the packed house. According to one attendee, new music from Madvillain was played before the show ended. Madvillainy 2 feels closer than it ever was.
