YMC and Yogi Footwear have reunited for a 12-piece collection inspired by the Madchester music scene.
The capsule includes the Orson and the Archersilhouettes in three classic colourways, including black, brown, and burnt olive. Both styles are made from leather and Yogi Footwear’s signature negative heel, along with a rubber outsole, tonal leather laces, natural hand stitching, a co-branded veg-tan footbed, and a YMC swing tag.
Speaking about the collection, YMC creative director Fraser Moss said: “Our second collaboration with Yogi took inspiration from the energy and exuberance of the rave and Madchester scenes. These shoes attempt to channel the baggy aesthetic of the 90s North from Spike Island to the Hacienda.”
While Paul Batista, sales director of Yogi Footwear, added: “The YMC collaboration for AW21 encapsulates the 90s rave and music scene nostalgia. These are the hard-wearing shoes that experience the good times, the bad times and the after parties. Orson and Archer are both faithful companions to share your memories with, taking you from heady gigs to late night clubs.”
Those wishing to cop the YMC X Yogi Footwear collaboration will also receive a limited edition “MIND YOUR HEAD” A3 print, designed by artist Daniel David Freeman, which depicts an image akin to YMC’s logo.
