YMC has recently unveiled its Spring/Summer 2022 offering, featuring a lookbook lensed by Laurence Ellis.
Taking its cues from communities and gangs in the 1970s, the collection pays homage to various subcultures, including hippy tribes and anti-war protesters as well as street gangs and west coast bikers.
Relaxed silhouettes and looser cuts showcase the line’s influence, along with a colour palette that combines earth-like tones with vibrant pops of reds, blues, and lilac.
Highlights this season include pieces made from natural fabrics — such as tactile seersucker and patchwork suede — and an eye-catching snakeskin print complete with a wax finish. The SS22 collection also teases a preview of YMC’s ongoing collaboration with Solovair.
