Salomon has linked up with London and Calabria-based label Copson for a summer-ready interpretation of the Ultra Raid silhouette.
For the collaborative project, the duo have looked to Copson’s “endless summer” ethos, which is referenced through a colour palette inspired by the vibe of European summers and Tempo Allegro campaign.
The sneaker arrives in a predominantly white colourway and features transparent mesh uppers and pops of “Negroni Red” around the collar, tongue and across the Salomon branding. Additional technical details include a soft and responsive energy foam insert, comfy trail-running midsole and the message ‘Tempo Allegro” stamped across the tongue.
A musical term meaning a quick and bright pace, the phrase “Tempo Allegro” has been used in this sense to mean a lively and spirited mood. This frame of mind is then mirrored in the brand’s campaign, which showcases everything from the raw beauty of the outdoors to the dual joys of community and solitude.
Designed with the intention “to champion running as a means to live life to the fullest” both the shoe and imagery explore the feeling of runner’s bliss and celebrate “running’s ability to keep us in the moment and encourage us to take time to play.”
