Cult London-based brand and retail store Garbstore has partnered with heritage label Private White V.C. for a premium rainwear capsule designed to combat the unique nature of the British weather.
Borne from a shared respect for military design and vintage workwear, the three-piece Ventile capsule comprises a single-breast waterproof mac, fully-lined tote bag and traditional bucket hat, all of which have been made in Private White’s 150-year-old Manchester factory using regionally sourced fabrics and materials.
Constructed using classic silhouettes and shapes, each piece houses extra modern-day functions to create a timeless and durable feel. Described by the brands as “a tongue-in-cheek approach to Britain’s April showers,” highlights from the collab include the traditional raincoat, which features a hidden lumbar support umbrella pocket designed to provide quick access for when the inevitable downpour arrives.
