Last night, a who's who of celebrity athletes—and plain ol' celebrities—descended upon the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles for the 20th annual ESPN ESPY awards. As we've seen in numerous drafts post-game conference, athletes tend to go too far left when it comes to style or just lack any expertise in the area altogether.

Thankfully this year, the total number of fitteds worn with suits was zero, everyone's frames had lenses, and the amount of print-patterned eyesores was kept to a minimum. Click through The Best Dressed Celebrities At The ESPY Awards for a quick style recap of who rocked the red carpet and the stage most memorably.

Michael Phelps

Mike keeps it nice and simple, though we wouldn't have blamed him if he rocked every single gold medal—you know, as a reminder.

Dwyane Wade

D-Wade is always among the flyest at any event, but he may have overdone it here. While his Lanvin tux fits like a glove and looks amazing, that scarf isn't appropriate for mid-July in Los Angeles. And while his Balenciaga Arena sneakers are awesome, proper dress shoes would have looked so much better.

Jon Hamm

As the host, Jon sonned the largely overdressed crowd with a lesson in how to kill it while sticking to the basics: a simple black suit and tie.

Paul George

While everyone else opted for shades, the Indiana Pacers star went with clear frames, and offset his gingham shirt nicely with a pink pastel tie.

Kevin Bacon

Bacon's brief apperance presenting with Maria Sharapova saw the actor murdered out in all black, with glasses that, unlike everyone else in the building, he probably has a prescription for.

Yasiel Puig

Now if only Yasiel could get his English to match his swag level.

Derek Fisher

D-Fish pushed the envelope of black tie suits with this fly teal tuxedo blazer.

Jason Sudeikis

The former SNL funnyman low-key stunted on everyone in this slick grey suit and shades. Having his gorgeous fiancée Olivia Wilde on his arm didn't hurt either.

DeAndre Jordan

DeAndre Jordan swapped the dunk face for a well-dressed smirk. The Clippers center probably would've felt more at home if the awards were across the street at the Staples Center, but he looked quite comfortable standing out from the pack in this cerulean number.

Chandler Parsons

Chandler stays on-trend with a floral shirt buttoned all the way up. Not wearing a tie is an advanced move too. He actually pulls it off by pairing it with a solid gray suit—those peaked lapels show he really knows what he's doing.

Victor Cruz

The NY Giant keeps his impressive run going with a striped crew-neck under a fresh double-breasted blazer. The devil's in the details here: Just take a look at the contrast soles on his kicks and the nonchalant pocket square.

LeBron James

Between his front-row seat and gracing the stage to accept and present awards more than the host, LBJ knew he had to show out and he did just that, sporting Heat colors head to toe in a sharp red tux.
