NBA trade season is finally upon us and though there haven't been many rumors out there yet, Chris Haynes of Yahoo! is reporting that the Lakers and 76ers are interested in trading for Derrick Rose. Now, if you haven't been paying attention, Rose has been one of the better PGs in the NBA this season and is even picking up some steam for an All-Star selection. While mostly coming off the bench, Rose is averaging over 18 PPG while also dishing out over 5 APG.

Rose has been one of the only consistent players on a struggling Pistons team that might be forced into selling at the deadline. Along with Rose, the Pistons have also been rumored to be shopping Andre Drummond as the deadline nears. While Haynes mentioned that Rose hasn't requested a trade and would prefer to stay in Detroit, it's no surprise that teams like the Lakers and 76ers are interested. He'd be a clear upgrade over what's currently on the roster at the guard position.

With the trade deadline a little more than two weeks away, the Complex Sports team put together a list of five teams that should take a serious look at trading for Derrick Rose before the deadline.

Los Angeles Lakers

No better place to start than with the Lakers, who Haynes not only mentioned in his report, but is a pairing we've written about before. The Lakers guard depth just isn't very good and while Derrick Rose isn't a pure creator, he's enough of a threat to score to force defenses to respect it. This would also give LeBron James a bit of a break from having to create for the Lakers, even though he's done a very nice job of it this season.

Philadelphia 76ers

It feels like the 76ers have been a guard short the past few years, so it makes all the sense in the world that they'd be interested in Rose. He'd be a nice addition to a team that could use an offensive boost most nights and would further unlock Ben Simmons playing all over the floor.

Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks are one of the biggest surprises in the NBA this season and Luka Doncic has developed into a full-blown superstar. They currently sit as the 5th seed in the Western Conference and we all know Mark Cuban is an aggresive owner, who could look at Derrick Rose and see an upgrade on the bench unit to propel their playoff odds. It's unclear if the Mavs would be interested in making a move like this, but D Rose could surely help.

Los Angeles Clippers

The Clippers were another team mentioned by Haynes, though he said the talks were more common than anything else. Still, if nothing else, the Clippers keeping Derrick Rose away from the Lakers might be enough of a reason to make this move.

Houston Rockets

Daryl Morey is one of the most aggressive GMs in the NBA and the Rockets could surely use the extra scoring punch that Derrick Rose would supply. Not sure if the Rockets would have enough to pull off a deal, but that's never really slowed them down before.
