If you’re suffering from a dreary stop-and-go morning commute, perhaps invest in this – the SkyRunner, a dune buggy and glider two-in-one.
Although it looks too futuristic to be true, this prototype actually works. Zero to 60mph takes just 4 seconds and the SkyRunner can sprint to a top speed of 115mph, allegedly over gravel, sand, dirt and everything in between. But take a moment to deploy the parachute and this off-roader can go airborne, flying up to an altitude of 15,000 feet and attaining a cruising speed of 55mph.
Granted, flying one of these things over gridlocked Los Angeles probably isn’t advisable…or legal. But hey, whatever gets you to the office.
