Part speed boat, part yacht, the 118-foot 118 Wallypower is the ultimate new-age water ride. Built from advanced composites and teak wood for the deck, the 118 went through speed extensive testing, going so far as to use Ferrari's wind tunnel to get its aerodynamics on point. Wait, did we forget to mention the eight-person dining room table that doubles as a skylight to illuminate the lower corridor? Yeah, that's what $33 million gets ya.

Flying under the radar for years before its actual launch, the eight-cabin Palladium that used to go by the code name "Orca" was designed by the team at Michael Leach Design. Its black-and-white colorway and swooping forms are influenced by—drum roll—killer whales. Interior info is scarce, but its new-age aluminum structure made headlines.

The Motor Yacht A looks like a futuristic war vessel. And that's because designer Philippe Starck modeled it after old war submarines. Its name comes from the first initial of the name of both its owner (Russian billionaire Andrei Melnichenko) and his wife (Serbian fashion model Aleksandra Nikolic). We call that the good life. Aaaaaaaaay!
Pelorus

First owned by a Saudi businessman, it was sold to Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich, who then had the whole ship refitted, adding another helicopter pad ('cause you can't have just one) and some engine modifications. Its "garage" stores a number of toys—jet skis and wave runners—in case anyone gets bored sunbathing in the Mediterranean waters. Oh, and this'll warm your heart: as a reward for being the two best players on Chelsea during the '05 season, Abramovich let Frank Lampard and John Terry borrow the yacht for two weeks. Best boss ever?

The world's second-largest yacht was built by two of the world's best vessel building companies for Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The name sound familiar? Dude is the ruler of Dubai and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates. Yeah, his money's long. His ship has a helicopter pad, a grand glass staircase, three elevators, a squash room, a spa, and three decks. And to cope with the intense Dubai heat, the entire air conditioning system was upgraded. Ice cold!

Anything Porsche Design focuses its energy on comes out amazing. The 135 is no different. A twin-hull yacht big enough for 10 guests and 10 crew members puts down 4600 hp and can hit 35 knots. Sounds only right for a Porsche.
Octopus

When Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen commissioned the Octopus to be built, it was supposed to be the biggest yacht in the world. Now it falls somewhere around ninth and tenth. We're sure he doesn't care: The Octopus has two helicopter pads (with actual helicopters), two swimming pools, two submarines, and a couple of jet skis. And although it was built in Europe, Paul had the interior done by Seattle's own Jonathan Quinn Barnett. America, fuck yeah!
Norman Foster 40 Signature Series Yacht

Just because you can't afford your own yacht, British-based company YachtPlus thinks you should be able to at least own a part of one. Within their program you and bunch of other not-so-rich people share the costs of operation. It's like a yacht time share. Their first offering is a Norman Foster-designed vessel with four decks, a cool staircase design outback and super sleek cabins. Unfortunately, all the shares are already snatched up, but you can charter it out for a week. All you need is $124,728.

Yup: Russian billionaire and Chelsea FC owner Roman Abramovich. It's the largest yacht in existence, and with a $1.2 billion price tag it's the most expensive yacht ever built, too. What does that get you? Two full-sized swimming pools, 11 cabins, a disco hall, three launch boats, a mini-submarine, and in case any shit pops off, a missile defense system. 'Cause you know what they say: more money, more problems.
