French Connection: The 9 Coolest Concept Cars at the 2010 Paris Motor Show

Although the 2010 Paris Motor Show is still in full swing, the best part is already over. All of the highly anticipated concepts and new model-year cars have been announced. And this year's announcements were, in our humble opinion, the best in a while. If you missed all the coverage, or just didn't know it was happening, don't worry, we got you. Take a look at the 9 best concept cars announced at this year's Paris Motor Show.

Kia Pop EV Concept

Highlights: 67-hp electric motor, 87-mph top speed, 100-mile range, six-hour charge time, transparent organic LED display

Complex says: You thought Kia was playing around, huh? Looking to get in on the city-car segment, the Korean economy carmaker unleashed this futuristic-looking electric vehicle to show the Japanese and European competition that they might need to watch their backs.

Citroen Lacoste Concept

Highlights: Three-cylinder engine, alloy "golf ball style" wheels

Complex says: Remember when Eddie Bauer and Ford teamed up for that Explorer back in the day? Consider this the French version. Two of France's most famous companies came together to design what looks to be a new-age beach cruiser. The coolest parts are the doors and windshield, which can be removed if the driver wants to feel more open.

BMW 6 Series Concept

Highlights: EfficientDynamics features, 300-hp turbocharged 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder, 400-hp twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V8 engine, 2+2 seating

Complex says: BMW billed this follow-up to its "four-door coupe" as a concept, but there's almost a 99.9% chance you will see this car in showrooms come 2012.

Audi Quattro Concept

Highlights: Turbocharged five-cylinder engine, six-speed transmission, all-wheel-drive, carbon hood, trunk, and bumpers

Complex says: To celebrate the 30th anniversary of its most iconic model, Audi delivered this RS5-based update. Aggressively styled and featuring a rumored powerful turbo engine, it looks to fit the bill as a good successor to the legendary original. Now all Audi has to do is make it. Please, Audi, make it.

Mazda Shinari Concept

Highlights: Technical specs are sparse, but the car will seat four and possibly have a rotary engine under the hood.

Complex says: The Shinari is more than another Mazda show car: The Japanese company is using it to debut its new design language. Meaning "resistance to being bent," Shinari has a design that will slowly bleed onto all of Mazda's other models. Hopefully the Mazda3 gets first dibs.

Audi E-Tron Spyder Concept

Highlights: 300-hp Twin-turbo V6 TDI, Two 64kW electric motors, 107-mile range on one gallon of diesel fuel

Complex says: Audi shows Tesla that it, too, can make a sexy, electric sports car. Only difference is you can actually drive this one to the beach and back without fear of losing power on the ride home.

Jaguar C-X75 Concept

Highlights: Four 195-hp electric motors, two micro-gas turbines to charge the batteries, top speed over 205 mph, 560-mile range

Complex says: To celebrate its 75th anniversary, Jag built this electric supercar that can fly past 20 0mph. The looks aren't wildly stunning for a concept car, but if this beast can make it to the pavement, it will surely be one of the sickest supercars out.

Lotus Esprit Concept

Highlights: 620-hp Midengine 5.0-liter V8, KERS energy system, 205-mph top speed

Complex says: Lotus revealed five(!) concept cars at this year's Paris Motor Show, and this one is by far the one we're most excited about. Tipping the scales at 3,190 lbs, the Esprit carries on Lotus' lightweight mantra while delivering power that will keep it on track with Ferrari and Lamborghini. Colin would be proud.

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Concept

Highlights: Carbon-fiber everything, 570-hp V10 engine, 2,200 lbs, 2.5-sec 0-60 time

Complex says: Best Lamborghini ever? Could be, if it's built. Constructed of nearly all carbon fiber, the Sesto would be one of the lightest and fastest supercars on the road. If Bruce Wayne needed a new weekend ride, this would be it.
