In December 2014, LeBron James didn't look like himself out on the court. His shot was on one night and off another. He didn't possess the same burst that he's been known to have. Something was clearly off. Then, starting on his 30th birthday, James took two weeks off, eight games in total.
The rest did LeBron wonders because when he returned, he looked like the old 'Bron 'Bron. So, with The King getting another year older, should we expect to see him do the same thing this upcoming season? ESPN's Dave McMenamin tried to get to the bottom of it.
Basically, LeBron is going to feel things out. If his body isn't responding the way he wants it to, expect to see off the court for a little while. Either way, a brief hiatus for James may actually be in the Cavaliers' best interest because the pursuit of an NBA title is a marathon, not a race.
