What Jason Terry just revealed to the media is better than any guarantee he could have made now that his Dallas Mavericks are headed to the NBA Finals. Apparently, Terry got the Larry O'Brien Trophy—the one given to the NBA Finals champion—tattooed on the inside of his right bicep back in October at a tattoo party (WTF?) thrown at the home of his teammate DeShawn Stevenson. And he just talked about it for the first time to show that the Mavs aren't surprised that they've reached this point in the playoffs.

"Everybody laughed and they thought it was a joke at the time," Terry revealed yesterday. "When they actually seen me get it, they were like, 'This boy is serious.' And our whole talk and conversation was about right now, about us getting to this point and winning it all."

Um, okay. Now, let's just hope you don't, you know, lose and be forced to walk around with a constant reminder of it for the rest of your life. [via ESPN Dallas]
