New York City had its first real taste of spring this week. The temperatures rose to over 60 degrees, although just briefly, and a lot of the snow melted away. It made everyone believe that sneaker season, the time of the year when people can wear that they want without consequence, had truly arrived.
People around the office started to break out sneakers that hadn't seen the light of day since sometime last year (or ever), and they were worn without as much hesitation as they would have been a few weeks ago. Clean pairs of Air Jordan retros and Nike runners were seen shuffled around the desks and walking through the hallways.
