A coroner’s report released today indicates that 25-year-old model Peaches Geldof—who was found dead in her England home—overdosed on heroin.
In 2000, Geldof’s mother Paula Yates also died of a heroin overdose, when Peaches was only 11 years old.
Peaches had written a column for Elle’s UK edition as a teen and had also appeared as a host on numerous British television shows. After a nude photo scandal and Twitter war with Chloe Sevigny, she had retreated a bit from the spotlight and had settled into private life.
Geldof was married to musician Thomas Cohen and leaves behind two young children.
