As purported scholars far and wide continue to cry over the death and subsequent rebirth of traditional language in the wake of the continued emoji takeover, an increasingly larger chunk of the global population waits impatiently for another addendum to the emoji lexicon.

If you're not already wallowing in the joys of #WorldEmojiDay, then surely the thought of soon being able to express the important concepts associated with words and actions like avocado, bacon, croissant, eagle, nauseated face, pregnant woman, shrug, and many others should add some legitimate weight to your enjoyment. As reported by Yahoo! Tech, 38 new emoji are set to premiere in June 2016 — meaning you only have to wait one year to express the nausea caused by your friend's grammatically inept texts without even using actual words.

Compelling fact of note: Canadian English speakers are reportedly the most violent emoji users, with their rate of sending the gun, knife, punching fist, and similar emoji at least 50% higher than the global average.
