The first Star Wars standalone/spinoff movie, titled Rogue One, will be all about a rebel heist to steal the plans for the Death Star

Details of the plot, as well as a teaser, were revealed during a panel at Star Wars Celebration, Slashfilm reports.

Felicity Jones, who we already knew was starring in a Star Wars spinoff, will play a rebel soldier in the movie, which is set not long before the events of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope

“We wanted to see fear, humor, and warmth” in the character, director Gareth Edwards said, not just a cliched image of a warrior. More important, this is definitely a war movie. “It’s called StarWars,” emphasized Edwards. This film is about moral grey areas and realities of war..."

According to Variety, Edwards also said, “It comes down to a group of individuals that don’t have magic powers, that have to bring hope to the galaxy."

Wait a minute. Did the director of a Star Wars movie just diss The Force?

Anyway, here are some of the tweets that came out of the panel that give an idea of the look of this thing:

The plot of this movie movie makes perfect sense when you think about it. Someone had to figure out that Luke Skywalker could destroy the Death Star by shooting into an exhaust port no bigger than a womp rat back home.

UPDATE: The teaser that was shown at Star Wars Celebration has now hit the internet. You can watch it above.
