Sundance favorite Dope has finally released its first teaser trailer. While it gives us little in the way of plot details or explicit character development, it does teach us about the characters by showing their interests. Think of it like a Tumblr page (and not just because of the clips clearly inspired by Tumblr).
Forest Whitaker narrates the film starring Zoe Kravitz, Shameik Moore, Tony Revolori, and Kiersey Clemons, and with A$AP Rocky in a supporting role. The coming-of-age story follows a group of high school nerds obsessed with '90s hip-hop growing up in Inglewood and preparing for college.
Look out for Dope in theaters June 19.
