Rick Perry sure didn't let two felony charges ruin his day. After going in for booking and sporting a shit-eating grin for his mug shot, the Texas governor went out for ice cream. Yes... ice cream.

Between errands Perry told reporters, "I'm going to enter this courthouse with my head held high, knowing the actions I took were not only lawful and legal but right." He also tweeted at several of his Republican peers to thank them for their support.
Last Friday Perry was indicted by a grand jury for allegedly abusing his powers by threatening to veto funding if District Attorney Rosemary Lehmberg, a Democrat, didn't resign over a DUI. Whether the threat happened or not, Perry went ahead with the veto, a move he maintains was made under his rights as governor.
At stake aren't only Perry's chances in the 2016 presidential race, which have probably been hurt already, but also his freedom. He faces five to 99 years in prison if found guilty.
