Actor Michael Jace, whose credits include a long run as Julien Lowe on The Shield as well as appearances in Southland and as the leader of the Black Panthers in Forrest Gump, has been detained by the Los Angeles police on the suspicion that he shot and killed his wife last night.
CNN is confirming this morning that Jace has been charged with homicide. Police found his wife April dead in their home from a gunshot wound after they had been called to investigate a shooting at 8:30 PM PST last night. It appears their two sons may have been in the home at the time as well, and Jace may even have called the crime in himself.
More details on this story will likely emerge in the coming hours and days, but for now we’ll just say RIP April Jace and will keep our thoughts with the Jace’s two children.
