Addictions are like phobias in that they're almost impossible to understand.
Last night's episode of TLC's My Strange Addiction featured a 22-year-old woman named Keisha who has been addicted to the sniffing and tasting soiled diapers for the past two years. This has led to her hoarding them, keeping them everywhere from cupboards to her purse. That means there's another issue buried beneath the bigger issue.
Keisha estimated that she's tasted 25,000 dirty diapers over the past two years, and her fiancé, Jerome, is pretty much at his wits end. "I've tried to work with her, but she goes beyond for her diapers," he explained. "She's even willing to dig in the garbage."
"I love it, it just tastes amazing. I have one when I'm cooking in the kitchen," she said at one point during the show. Hopefully she beats this addiction, for the sake of cleanliness and socially acceptable behavior.
