There new Urban Outfitters in Williamsburg wants to graduate to the next level by selling liquor:
None
This new location is already unpopular. Councilman Stephen Levin is 100 percent against the idea, saying he can't "think of a circumstance for which it would be appropriate for Urban Outfitters to have a liquor license" in an interview with the New York Daily News. He added a question for everyone to ponder as they really stop and think about this idea: “We must ask ourselves, ‘Do we really want people drunk when they are buying their skinny jeans and ironic t-shirts?’"
Another one of Levin's fears is that alcohol availability at Urban Outiftters will lead to underage drinking, because, you know, the kids just can't help themselves. Forget about the potential problems that liquor at Urban Outfitters present, Levin doesn't even like the idea of Urban Outfitters moving into the neighborhood at all.
"I would not be thrilled with an Urban Outfitters in the neighborhood in the first place," he said, calling the thought of one with a bar "appalling."
Ouch.
