A Texas man was sentenced to 20 years in prison for biting his female roommate during a drunken argument with his girlfriend in January. Jacques Quinn lived with the two women, and was allegedly in the midst of a heated debate with his girlfriend, when the other roommate stepped in. Quinn reportedly bit the other woman so hard that his girlfriend began to physically attack him.
Quinn's attorneys claimed that his drink had been spiked with a narcotic of some sort. Following his conviction, the jury informed him that he was essentially a career criminal due to his 15 prior convictions for everything from assault to drug possession.
In addition to the sentence, he was slapped with a $10,000 fine.
