Police in Atlanta are searching for a man who allegedly slashed a police officer's throat with a knife. Witnesses on East Atlanta's Jonesboro road claim to have seen the man, who they say looked homeless, wielding a large knife. After getting into a fight with the officer, the man cut the officer's throat and fled into the woods.
The officer was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries, and Dekalb County police are currently helping with the search.
