Universal Studios is re-creating the creepy town of Silent Hill as a haunted house-style attraction for the annual "Halloween Horror Nights" event at both their Hollywood and Orlando-based amusement parks this fall.

Speaking with Polygon, John Murdy of Universal Studios Hollywood confirmed that the replica of the haunted town will incorporate many of the series' signature settings and monsters into the attraction: "Fog World, Other World, Pyramid Head, the nurses, all of the incredible characters and environments that the fans of Silent Hill love, whether it's the video game or the movie have grown to love, we're bringing them to life at Universal Halloween Horror Nights."

Halloween Horror Nights, Universal Studios' seasonal horror-themed event has been running for twenty years, creating rides, haunted houses, and other attractions based on the studios' scariest films.

Universal is producing a new film based on the franchise, Silent Hill: Revelation 3D. The upcoming film plot is loosely based Silent Hill 3, though it incorporates elements from first Silent Hill film as well.
