Apple today launched an overhauled version of its Apple Store app, which introduces a host of new features that further distinguish the Apple Store experience.

The app now enables in-store pick-up of any in-stock item from any Apple Store, and the company is promising that your order will be ready within one hour of the time it was made. To add to the convenience, once you arrive at the store to pick up your item(s), you'll be able to skip lines, sign for them and leave.

Another big feature of the app is the new EasyPay option, which lets you pay for items and check yourself out while you're in the store. If you have an iPhone 4 or higher, you can simply scan the barcode of a product in the store, pay with the credit card associated with your Apple ID, and stroll on out.

When ordering an item, you can also select your engraving from within the app. And once your order has been made, you can track its progress and get a push notification when it's ready.
