War in the North’s design document calls for fast travel and easy trips back and forth between locations. You’ll be in the middle of cave troll country one minute, then chilling with Bilbo and Elrond in Rivendell the next. There is no slow travel option.

Skyrim makes you feel like you’re doing it wrong if you use fast travel, since you’re missing a thousand side quests between point A and point B by fast traveling. Skyrim takes no greater pleasure than driving you to distraction by diverting you down every rabbit, fox, deer, and bear trail strung across its 16-square-mile map.
