Microsoft and Epic Games have finally revealed what we all knew was coming: Gears of War 3 DLC! The first batch of DLC is set for release on November 1, 2011 and will be known as the Horde Command Pack.
So what do you get with your purchase? How about 3 new maps (Blood Drive, Rustlung, and Azura, as previously rumored), 3 new playable characters, 2 new weapon skins, and an additional 250 gamerscore points via new achievements. There are also going to be a few new fortification upgrades available in the game’s Horde mode.
Now for the important information: cost. The pack will cost players 800 Microsoft points through the Xbox Live Marketplace but will be available at no additional charge to those gamers who purchased the Gears of War 3 Season Pass. We all know that this is just the beginning and there will be a ton more DLC on the way for Gears 3, but at least we know when the avalanche will begin.
