WHERE: Armageddon Records, Boston
WHEN: Saturday, August 20, 2011

I LOVE a clean, well-organized record store. Armageddon Records is predominantly a punk, metal, and hardcore store, but I caught a few jazz gems in the lone soul bin the store had. Genre specificity aside, it is an extremely well-organized, and well-run store. Sometimes, when a shop doesn't seem to have things you can use, you should do yourself a favor and take a full walk of the shop, paying close attention to all the bin tabs. You never know, that one gem you've been looking for could be hiding in plain sight and you'd never know cause you gave up on the shop before you could fully evaluate it. Attention to detail is your friend when you're looking for records kids. I also made Adam Gibons dip into his rent money.
