"MLB 11 The Show" Simulation Predicted All-Star Game Results

And they almost got the score right too!

Last night, Major League Baseball’s Midsummer Classic was held featuring the best players from the 2011 season squaring off in a battle between leagues.  Sony ran the rosters through a simulation game in MLB 11 The Show before the event and predicted that the National League All-Stars would defeat the American League team by a score of 5-3 (See the video below for the highlights).  Many people balked—woohoo baseball puns—at the prediction (thinking the American league team was stronger), but after watching the game unfold last night, the MLB 11 The Show simulation was eerily accurate.  The National League did walk away the victors, but the score was 5-1.  That prognostication was so close that we wouldn’t be surprised if folks use the sim in the fall to place their bets on the World Series!
