Microsoft Offers Students Free Xbox 360s in Back to School Deal

Our kind of back-to-school sale.

None

Ahh, back to school time. The time of year when students everywhere venture out to Office Max and/or Depot in search of binders, three-hole punches and... new video game consoles? Apparently that's how Microsoft sees it. The computer giant has just announced a new promotion to give free Xbox 360s to any student with a valid Student ID when they buy a Windows 7 computer worth $699 or more.

All you have to do is bring your student ID to Best Buy  when you buy your computer or check out online at either the HP, Dell or the Microsoft Store websites with a .edu email address and a 4GB Xbox 360 is yours "no cost and no strings!"

The deal goes until September or when supplies run out. What percentage of enterprising students do you think will take back their Windows computers?
