The price point for HP's upcoming debut tablet, the first of its new line consumer electronics created with the help of the recently acquired Palm, has until now been kept a secret. But a new internal document from Wal-Mart, leaked by the folks at Pre Central, lets the cat out of the bag. The retail giant will carry HP's 32gb TouchPad for $599, which puts it squarely in line with a similarly configured iPad 2 or Galaxy Tab 10.1.
The TouchPad, unveiled in February, will feature 9.7 in screen, 1.2 ghz dual core processor and nextgen WebOS software.
