UPDATED 3/26, 6:34 p.m. ET: New details have emerged in the death of Taylor Hawkins.

Colombian health officials say emergency personnel arrived at Hawkins’ hotel room Friday night, after receiving a report about “a patient with chest pains.” According to a press release from Bogota’s Secretariat of Health, the legendary drummer was unresponsive when medics arrived. The crew attempted to revive Hawkins through a resuscitation process, but “there was no response, and the patient was declared deceased.”

“The District Department of Health mourns the death of this talented musician and drummer, widely recognized internationally for his work,” health officials said in a statement, as reported by NBC News. “Besides, the entity sends its message of condolences to the family, colleagues and followers.”

As pointed out by the Daily Beast, a number of Columbian outlets report Hawkins died from a suspected drug overdose. The Office of the Attorney General of Colombia confirmed that toxicology tests found 10 different psychoactive substances in Hawkins’ body at the time of his death; those included marijuana, tricyclic antidepressants, benzodiazepines, and opioids. However, Columbian police say the cause of death has not been determined, and that the investigation is on-going.
