Until recently, the MiniKingz outfit was largely something we heard about in reference to its individual members, Oscar #Worldpeace, Ragz Originale, and BenjiFlow, all titans in their own lanes. They’ve been working together for years now, jumping on each other’s tracks and putting on shows together, but in the past few months there’s been a renewed drive to push themselves as a combined unit, something that continues with today’s release of the “New Skin Care” video.

This doesn’t look like a one-off, either. The trio has been interviewed and profiled a few times in the past few months and it looks like at the very least there’s a mixtape on the way, and the Jay Green-directed “New Skin Care” video is the first taste of that.

Produced in-house, it ties together all the different strains of rap, grime, and R&B that the three have individually explored, and puts them into one cohesive whole. It’s a bold statement from the trio, perhaps best summed up with the comparison the Chicago Bulls iconic trio: “Check the scores on the board, who’s winning? Jordan. Rodman. Pippen.”

Speaking on the new track, Oscar #Worldpeace shares: “‘New Skin Care’ is a great introduction to the MiniKingz world, it was one of the first songs we made for the project, everyone bouncing off each other well on this. Shout out Jay Green on making the visual just as icy as the song.”

Ragz Originale says: “I believe this song sets the perfect tone for us as a collective. The main thing we wanted to get across was the synergy between us, and the drive for energy…we want to shake the skeletons out of your skin!”

Finally, BenjiFlow adds: “This is the start of a new world! We’re creating it, welcome.”
