South London drill star K-Trap has just released Trapo, his highly anticipated new mixtape.

The rapper built up anticipation with his May-released single “Warm”, June’s DoRoad collab “Maths”, and last month’s bass-loaded drill fairytale “Pick ‘N’ Mix”. Clocking in at 49 minutes via 16 tracks, K-Trap recruits M1OnTheBeat, Ezra, Ghosty, Cage, Beatsbyweez, Moneyevery, Handz Beatz and more on the production side of things, ensuring Trapo brims with weighty, varied backdrops.

Features-wise, K-Trap locks in with fellow South Londoners Youngs Teflon, DoRoad and PR SAD, as well as Birmingham singer-songwriter Lotto Ash. Notable cuts on the tape include “Addiction”, which kicks off with a neat soul sample before K-Trap comes through and deploys sharp lyrical anecdotes. Project closer “Fighting” is another standout—a reflective cut that sees the rhymer’s storytelling truly shine.
