Musicians and food is a thing. Seth Troxler and Ryan Crosson opened up their spot over the summer, and Dave Nada has his own Empanada spot. Big-time rapper and Maybach Music Group impresario Rick Ross even has his own line of Wingstop franchises. So as dance music continues it's global takeover, we see no reason why this won't continue. That said, we know the tour life can be rough and it can suck a lot of the creative juices out of an artist, so we decided we'd come up with some of our food fantasies and share them with you all. DJs, take note. We don't need a kickback, but some free grub and a bar tab always goes a long way!

Potential Name of Restaurant: Grillex
This techincally already existed in food cart form, but what about an actual brick-and-mortar spot? It'd have to start out as a spot in DTLA, perhaps near that Chinatown spot Skrill's been devloping, but after that? Imagine what the Bacon Bangarang might sound like!
Dieselboy
Potential Name of Restaurant: Diesel Fuel
It's well known at this point that the American drum & bass king is a just as much a foodie as he is a bass head. Dieselboy regularly tweets about his finely cooked gourmet meals and has worked with First We Feast authoring a number of posts for the good eats outlet. Now what if we got him his own spot? Given his piece on the best dishes of Choice Easts 2013, it might be fair to say that anything he puts on a plate, you'll want to eat. Maybe he can put his own take on Mable's Smokehouse's Slow Smoked Beef Brisket.
Eats Everything
Potential Name of Restaurant: Eat Me
The thought of a DJ, no less a world-class one with a name like Eats Everything, opening a spot is just titlating. The dirtybird player could no doubt take lead from the annual Foodies Festival that takes place in his hometown, Bristol. The dirtybird crew already knows that food and funkiness can go hand in hand, and they routinely bring that to their parties - so it makes sense that Eats would import that back to Bristol.
Above & Beyond
Potential Name of Restaurant: Alchemy
Why fix a formula that works? Above & Beyond's Group Therapy brand may have started as an album, but it has since become much more growing into a radio show, a live show, and for many, a way of life. So why not tap into the lifestyle market some more? Nothing like gathering around with some strangers and crying your eyes out for an hour and a half, right? Might as well get some grub, too. I'll take the foie grais thank you!
Feed Me
Potential Name of Restaurant: The Rat Trap
Is this one too easy or what?! He's obviously had the music game on lock with his previous amazing releases as Feed Me and Spor (not to mention his forthcoming Calamari Tuesday) while his personally designed Teeth set up also set a new standard for live visuals and stage production. Throw in the fact that he's also personally been behind all of the art for his various projects, you know he'd make an absolute art out of whatever comes out of his kitchen.
Shadow Child
Potential Name of Restaurant: Dave's Spoon
Although there's nothing childish about his music Shadow Child no doubt has a lot of that child-like fun in his tunes. The artist formerly known as Dave Spoon has brought the funky, wobbly, if not destablized UK garage basslines and deep house attitude to the forefront and it's just the kind of funk that'll send the kiddies into a tizzy. And what better way to do that then pair it with some icream? Best part? The name's already perfect.
MiM0SA
Potential Name of Restaurant: Munchies
This would have to be the ultimate brunch spot. Nothing says weekend brunch turn up like some OJ and champagne cocktails and some of those heady trill MIM0SA waves. This Bay Area-bred producer has been making head-spinning, mind-bending numbers for a minute now and with each of them, MiM0SA always knows how deliver those healing vibes. Those healing vibes you need on a Sunday after two consecutive nights of Red Bull and vodka-sponsored debauchery. His "trillwave" music is ahead of its' time, but throw in the bacon and eggs, and people will "get" it.
Tittsworth
Potential Name of Restaurant: Tittsworth's
Everyone's got that spot in the 'hood that they just can't get enough of. Maybe it's that bodega's specially-made sandwiches or homie's fried chicken spot that's been around since you were in the crib. I imagine this is what Tittsworth's spot would be like. The man has already proven he not only is a phenomenal DJ and producer, but with role and ownership in famed U Street Music Hall? You know he knows how to operate a spot with the utmost respectaiblity and hospitality. The menu? I hope it isn't a fixed/set menu as Tittsworth has also proven he's got an eclectic taste for worldly culture and cuisine can be another dynamic way for the man to create something beautiful.
Mat Zo
Potential Name of Restaurant: Mamma's Mat Zo Balls
Your bubbe's matzoh balls might be the cat's meow on your shabbas dinner, but don't mind me when I want to spend my sabbath with Mat Zo. Our little boychick wonder of a producer has been wowing us for the last few years with numerous concoctions of special design taking influences from across the electronic music world. Whether it's been his His stirring brand of uplifting house music, his devilishly creative broken beat bumpers like "Caller ID" and "Like It Used To Be," or his anthems like the Porter Robinson-assisted "Easy," Mat Zo has demonstrated that he's an artist, not just a producer or a DJ. With Mat's eclectic taste and intense passion for expanding boundaries, we're tickled at what he'd do to Jewish cuisine.
