ASAP Rocky is back. “D.M.B.” is an ode to Rocky’s love for women and drugs (but mainly his love for Rihanna). Rocky utilizes a chopped-up flow while rapping over a hypnotic trap beat, spitting, “Time to call it what it was, first I thought it wasn’t nothin’/ Probably think I wanna hit and run, bad girls wanna have fun/ I don’t want no Goody Two-Shoes, no, none. The track was accompanied by a music video, which depicted ASAP Rocky and Rihanna wandering around the city together and getting married. Naturally, it went extremely viral and took over the internet immediately.

Jack Harlow and Drake have finally united on their highly-anticipated collaboration, “Churchill Downs,” a slow-burning record that finds a pensive Harlow reflecting on his journey in rap. “The label used to wonder how I’m supposed to stand next to Vert/ Prolly never thought that I would get these legs to work,” he spits. Drake exercises his storytelling abilities with a lengthy verse that touches on therapy, fame, beef with Pusha-T, and more. “Churchill Downs” appears on Harlow’s new album Come Home the Kids Miss You

“Vegas” is an exciting, spicy new single from Doja Cat that samples Big Mama Thornton’s 1952 single “Hound Dog.” It’s a theatrical song that finds Doja embodying a burlesque entertainer, while showcases her rap skills and delivering dizzying flows. “And put that Yeezy in your teeth, let my demons off they leashes/ If you even think to speak, I’ma give a whole new meanin’,” she spits. “Vegas” is a song from the original motion picture soundtrack for ELVIS

“Moscow Mule” is a new track from Bad Bunny in which he shows love to the summer cocktail of the same name. Similar to the cocktail, “Moscow Mule” is a summery and danceable track that begs you to have fun, as Bad Bunny sings over a reggaeton beat, courtesy of La Pacienca and MAG. “Moscow Mule” appears on Bad Bunny’s freshly released new album, Un Verano Sin Ti

IDK and Mike Dimes have joined forces. Over Kaytranada production, IDK kicks off the record, revealing the street code everyone should live by. “One boy run up, two boys get done up/ Three women weep all for the come-up/ Five cops lookin’ for someone/ Three new arrests, two ain’t even done nun’/ Shh, that’s rule number one,” he raps. The track also features a guest verse from emerging rapper Mike Dimes, who delivers a punchy verse with raspy vocals. “The Code” is a standout from IDK’s new project, Simple.

Duke Deuce, “Crunkstarz”

“Crunkstarz” is a rambunctious, energetic song that finds Duke Deuce chanting and celebrating his rowdy, “crunk star” lifestyle. Though the chorus is wild and rebellious, Duke Deuce exercises some restraint on the verses, making use of melodic vocals. “It’s a good year, Nigga really made a mill/ Aiming for the bills/ Bitches in the hills,” he spits.

SiR, “Satisfaction”

TDE’s SiR is back with “Satisfaction,” his first solo release of 2022. Over instrumentals anchored in guitar strings, SiR croons about a toxic relationship that may feel good to go back to, time and time again, but ultimately causes more harm than good. “This was never meant to be what it feels like/ This ain’t your real life, and I’m not real/ As much as I hope one day things could still work/ We both know the deal,” he sings. Although the subject matter is tough to swallow, SiR does a great job of bringing a certain calmness to the record.
