The 2014 MTV VMAs took place last night, where eight awards were given out during a two-hour broadcast. That's less than half of the actual 18 awards that were up for grabs this year, which tells you the sad state of affairs for awards shows. Unfortunately they have become less about championing the people who did some amazing things, and more about self-promotion and selling ads.

Being the kind, respectable people that we are, Complex put together a list of a dozen awards that weren't given out last night, but should have been, ranging from the Lifetime Booty Achievement award to "Best Trap Arms." Not for nothing, our awards do have one thing in common with the VMAs: Not one award was given out to Iggy Azalea.

The “Jay Z Never Change” Award: Juicy J

Juicy does not age.
