Last month, Tee Grizzley was involved in a Detroit shooting that left his aunt and manager Jobina "JB" Brown dead. The sudden tragedy has impacted the rapper greatly, and now he's addressing the incident on his new song "Satish." To coincide with the release of the new song, Grizzley has also shared a video for the track which shows him and his family in mourning.

Mixing emotional bars with threats of retribution, the latest from Grizzley is a hard-hitting but somber release. The rapper kept to himself after the shooting outside of a number of tributes, and "Satish" is the most up-front he's been about her passing just yet. "And you think they came for her? Man you know they came for me," he raps on the song. "If we tear this bitch up, they gon' say I'm dead wrong / Fuck that, these n***as got my aunty with a headstone."

It's unclear if Grizzley was indeed the target of the shooting, but it would appear that he believes that was the case. A gunman approached Grizzley's vehicle last month on foot, opening fire and hitting Brown. She was pronounced dead shortly after being taken to the hospital. She was 41.
